Daniel Mickelson, model and actor with roles in web series Mani and independent comedy 2019 The killer clown meets the candy man, who died on July 4, his sister announced Monday evening. He was 23 years old.
The cause of death has not been disclosed for the Atlanta native.
“My heart is broken and writing it feels so wrong and I don’t even know what to say,” model Meredith Mickelson posted on Instagram. “Yesterday I lost my brother, my best friend and the other half of my heart. There was no one I loved more on this earth. there are no words that can do it justice that I can write. to know him was to love him. he was the happiest and most radiant smiley there is and i am so happy that god chose me to be his sister for all his amazing life.
Daniel Mickelson launched a fashion brand and clothing line called Kids Back Home in January.
The young actor has been recalled by his peers on Instagram and other social media, with Patrick Schwarzenegger telling Mickelson’s sister, “I pray for you,” and model Kaia Gerber posting: “I remember that time we sat on the couch and spent the whole day going upstairs with our own secret language that we kept talking every time we saw each other. I wish we could go back. I wish we had spoken again in phrases that probably annoyed everyone but made us crack each time.
“So sad to hear that. RIP,” Paris Hilton wrote.
Mickelson’s girlfriend Maddie Haley wrote on Instagram: “I wish my plans to spend the rest of my life with you weren’t taken away from me like this. I wish I could tell you how much I love you and I “Wish I had the chance to say goodbye to you. I don’t know how I’m going to get through this, but I’m going to be strong for you because I know that’s what you wanted.”
